It’s a last minute decision, plan and getaway.

Will be back only on the 20th of January, 2009. My flight is at 7am, supposed to leave home 30 minutes time to the airport but I’m not done packing yet.

Last week, I was busy playing host to my three Aussie friends from Perth. James, Loiusa and Richie were in Kuala Lumpur for a week, or I would say two of them were here first because someone left his passport somewhere. HAHA!!!

Some highlights of the week:

Monday

• Met them at Petaling Street

• Had famous Soong Kee beef noodle for lunch

• Shopping at KLCC

• Then, Sungai Wang to shop

• Walked to Pavilion

• Tried Kenko Fish Spa

• Had Sushi Sakae for dinner

• Went salsa at Qba, Westin Hotel

Tuesday

• Met them at MidValley

• MUST GO: Amuleto for lunch

• Dinner at Indo Chine, Asian Heritage Row

• Beach Club for some ladyboys (James fave)!

Wednesday

• Richie arrived KL..at last!

• Shopping at Plaza Low Yat

• Sungai Wang for round 2

• Light dinner at Hard Rock Cafe

• Mambo Jambo at Velvet!

Thursday

• Indian food for lunch

• Sunway Lagoon!!!

• Dinner at Sushi Zanmai, Sunway Pyramid

• More shopping in Sunway Pyramid

• Insane shopping at Petaling Street

Friday

• I was in class the entire day, they were at Petaling Street the entire afternoon

• Met them at Phuture, Zouk after work

Saturday

• Lunch at Hanabi, Jalan P. Ramlee

• Last minute shopping at Petaling Street and Sungai Wang

• Binged on hawker stalls in Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman for dinner

• Last and best night : DJ Armin van Buuren

Sunday

• Back to Perth

I’m loving my 2009.
The first weekend came and went with lots of food and laughter.

John’s Birthday at Jogoya Japanese Buffet.

Dinner was amazing. So filling that we had to rest in Starhill for 2 hours! Awesome company as usual, delicious food servings. Plus, few scoops of Haagen Daaz Cookies and Cream would drive me insane! Definitely better than the one we had in Shogun.

It’s been quite sometime since I stepped into Poppy to party. So much has changed, banyak Ah Bengs, Ah Lians, posers and wannabes in the club. BUT, I still love you. Happy birthday to you, Wern. Can’t believe you’re twenty already!

The entire month of December has been pretty fruitful to me.

3rd December 2008 is the date when I left my teen years behind and start my twenties.

Over the two weeks, I was busy juggling with my finals and birthday dinner party, and where else would I held it other than my favourite restaurant, Amuleto. Thanks to Stella To and team for accommodating with my never-ending requests and gave me one of the best birthday dinner ever.

I had 50 confirmed guests on the 9th of December 2008. Yes, whooping 50 people. But 5 people was unable to attend due to workload. So, 45 of them include my family, close, old and new friends which were significant to me in the year 2008. Read More
