Broken and departed

Posted by jessbabe on Saturday Feb 6, 2010 Under Travel

Four days away from my city seems too short. Harden feelings were neglected at the wee hours of the Bangkok city. Cash transactions and pouring heat, Bangkok seems a perfect place to escape. I was dumbfound, so is the city. The language and culture I yet to comprehend, I prefer my hidden sanctuary. The four days away in the haunted city, filled with pink cabs, cheap fabrics, dolly schoolgirls and iced coffee.

Conflicts and beers, I had both. You learned best when you have no help, ignorance and stubbornness – I fought with myself. Cheap bargains and unbeatable price, I lost my war. Four days in Bangkok, I lost my will to fight. I gave in and paid a heavy price. Broken, I am.

Departed, I have. I will be back and continue my war.

My Sunday with SuperMOM

Posted by jessbabe on Sunday Jun 21, 2009 Under Super Weekends

This is my typical Sunday with SuperMom:

Foot Reflexology at Uncle Lim’s.
The place might look a bit dodgy but I can assure you one thing – SATISFACTION! Did I mention, he uses sticks instead of hands for the good time. Only two person per session, so book your place early. (I don’t get discount for promoting this place but this is one of the best foot reflexology I ever tried)

LIM HENG REFLEXOLOGY
3-91, Kompleks Mutiara,
Batu 3 ½, Jalan Ipoh,
51200 Kuala Lumpur.

Contact Number: 012-617 5641/03-6250 3296
Fees: RM35/an hour

Lunch at MidValley. Sudden craving for char kuey teow!

SuperMom went for super facial

and I went splurging on MNG sales!

Shopping bag:

  1. Denim mini skirt
  2. White trousers
  3. White long shirt
  4. Another long shirt
  5. Cropped fitted jacket
  6. Black sling bag
  7. Huge bag
  8. Gold earrings
  9. MAC lipgloss

After spending RM751 on shopping, I need to rejuvenate and self-comfort with a glass of frosty guava and sour plum.

Dinner at Aunt’s place and we’ve got prawns for Father’s Day special!

Indulged on ginger rice, durians and toasted garlic bread. I might have indulged over 10,000 calories on a Sunday.

Note to self: No more shopping on Sundays!!!

Look up at the sky and SMILE

Posted by jessbabe on Monday Jun 15, 2009 Under General, Soul Talk

I have sudden urge to blog now.

I’ve finished with Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and Grey’s Anatomy season finale. No spoilers but I was hoping for a happier ending in GA! Crying is a good therapy.

I’m supposed to start on my Sociology assignment or spring cleaning. My room is a messy walking closet, now I turned my living room into a big mess too. Let me sort things out and I might do a small garage sale online. I might start selling my bikinis! *you wish* but I wonder anyone would want my dirty undies!

Finals is on 7th of July, means wink wink to Rainforest World Music Festival this year. Hmmm, savings savings.

I love my Sunday’s foot rub and tattoo is coming.

RM1009 spent over the weekend.

  • RM516 on tickets for mummy-and-me-time at Air Supply concert tomorrow (We’ve been singing Air Supply in the car)

  • RM40 on 2 pairs of very pretty lashes
  • RM35 on lunch
  • RM220 on 6 tops and 4 hot pants for summer time
  • RM 198 on Kérastase 1000ml shampoo

Nuff  said about money. Back to the whole idea of my sudden urge.

The past 4 months I’ve learned and understood more.
I found out more, I despised more.
I fell and stood up again.
Rejections.
Mummy knows best as well as some of my good friends.
I don’t owe anyone any explanation, I was disappointed, I disappointed some.

Looking back where I am before, I sighed in relief.
Looking at where I stand today, I smile.

I am glad I was out of that sticky situation.
I’m ready to see the world again, no assurance but I’m trying.
Time will heal the pain. Slowly.

I’ve discovered something the past few weeks.
Don’t grudge, don’t hold on.
Move on.
